| 10/26/03 - 10/30/03 | I had a great time this Halloween. This year, along with the help of my sister Laura, her husband Jose, my nephew Frankie and the watchful eye of my mother, I brought back to life last years Charlie Brown outfit and I created Jack, from Jack in the Box. for my Nephew Frankie... There were several hickups along the way...the biggest one was the failed attempt at making a new Charlie Brown head, hence having to revive last years model....however, I did upgrade the head. Thanks to Angry Bobs suggestion, to incorporate a welding mask to support the head...I upgraded the head by using a hard hat and PVC pipe to suspend the head... anyways...here are the pics from that week of creating the heads... |
| 10/31/03 | Halloween 2003 started with a costume contest at work. This year, one of the officers at work offered a savings bond as the first place prize... It was a tough contest but in the end I was victorious, I was feeling lucky that day, perhaps it was the big head that made me feel confident... |
| Later that evening, we spent the evening at my sister Lauras house. We had a BBQ in her front yard and handed out candy to all the critters. It was fun with the Charlie Brown and Jack costumes. After all the kids were given out, we decided to have some fun at the local Jack in the Box restaurant. Norma, the manager was very nice. Unfortunately, we didn't even get a free order of French Fries...ohh well After Jack in the Box, we decided to head over to McDonalds...the manager there didnt seem to care for our antics... he let us take one pic and we had to leave.... We then took a stroll to Weinershnitszel...sorry about the spelling... after some convincing, the manager agreed to take a picture with us... I will try and do a better write up of all these pics...until then, enjoy.... |

To conclude the evening, some friends and I went out to The Panache night club... word had it, they were gonna be offering some cash prizes for their costume contest. Unfortunately, I didnt win first...I did however, got my leg humped by a jerk in a Snoopy costume and I lost out to an Umpa-lumpa, from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Ohh well, I didn't get any cash prize, but I did get a cool gift basket with a free bottle of Jack Daniels, a CD and some other stuff. At the end of the night, I stopped by to see my friend Jay at work in the ICU at a local hospital... seems like people just love to put on that Charlie Brown head. Anyways, despite the seriousness of the ICU, it was good to know that their patients atleast had a visit from one of the Peanuts gang on Halloween, hopefully they didnt think they were hallucinating from the meds they were on. Until next year, the Charlie Brown and Jack heads with be put to rest. Perhaps next year I can do the whole Peanuts gang... too kewl....
